Over 10 years ago, the Open Hearts Foundation was founded to help transform the Open Hearts Philosophy into a movement. Co-Founded by award winning actress, artist, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Jane Seymour, O.B.E., the Foundation's mission is inspired by Jane's mother who always told Jane and her sisters that in times of great challenge they should accept what is happening and look to see what they can do to help others. When one does this, they have a purpose in life, and can transform adversity into opportunity.
The Foundation has been shoulder to shoulder with those experiencing adversity, providing many forms of support and inspiration. The Foundation has a deep commitment to serve through its two programs: a grant making program and the Young Hearts Volunteerism program. The Open Hearts Foundation has provided more than $1.4 million in its grant making history to emerging charities throughout the United States and has engaged thousands of volunteers across the globe to do what they can to help others and find their unique purpose.
