Job Title: Retail Associate / Barista (Part-Time) $20/hr Plus Tips!

Location: Le Macaron French Pastries – Janss Marketplace, Thousand Oaks

Hours: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week (evening and weekend availability preferred)

Le Macaron French Pastries brings a taste of Paris to our community with authentic French macarons, gourmet chocolates, gelato, specialty coffees, and fine pastries. We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused team members who enjoy working in a welcoming, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service
• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, coffee, gelato, and other menu items​
• Package and present macarons, pastries, and gift boxes with care
• Operate the POS system (Clover) for sales transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including counters, tables, display cases and restroom
• ​Assist with restocking, inventory, and light opening/closing duties
• Support catering and special event orders when needed
   

Qualifications
 

• Previous retail, café, or food service experience preferred but not required (we provide training)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling light lifting (up to 25 lbs)
• Availability for weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed
