Many Mansions is proud to partner with the County of Ventura on the newly awarded Lewis Road Homekey+ project, which will bring 88 units of permanent supportive housing to Lewis Road, right outside the City of Camarillo. With construction set to begin early spring 2026, this is a major step forward in addressing Ventura County’s urgent housing crisis.

The new Homekey+ community will sit adjacent to Rancho Sierra Senior Apartments, a 49-unit development led by Many Mansions and the Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura that will open this fall. Together, the two projects form a Campus of Hope that will provide almost 140 housing units for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those who have experienced homelessness or housing insecurity.

“We are pleased to be creating a neighborhood of dignity, opportunity, and support,” said Rick Schroeder, President of Many Mansions. “The Homekey+ new community, combined with the opening of Rancho Sierra, will further transform this area of the County into a place where people rebuild their lives as they experience stability and hope.”

The site is an ideal location for this work, aligning with the County’s master plan for the Lewis Road corridor, which envisions housing, services, and community resources working together to revitalize the area and meet the needs of vulnerable populations.

Many Mansions will provide supportive services across both communities, working closely with Ventura County Behavioral Health and a wide network of partners to ensure residents receive the care and resources they need. This proximity will both facilitate efficiencies for service providers, provide additional programming opportunities, and build a stronger safety net, giving residents greater opportunities to achieve stability and thrive.

Together, these developments demonstrate how innovation, collaboration, and persistence create lasting solutions to homelessness and poverty. Many Mansions looks forward to working with the County of Ventura, state partners, DignityMoves, and the community to bring this vision to life.
