Mustang Marketing
Job Description
Communications Coordinator

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 Annually
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time Regular

Mustang Marketing is a Ventura County-based marketing agency that specializes in strategic marketing plans, public and government relations, brand identities, collateral design and beyond. The communications coordinator will support the agency in producing excellent written communications and correspondence,  delivering client-facing support, and managing project flow. This role is a hybrid role that will support copywriting needs, as well as client relations — and it’s one intentionally created to provide growth potential, specifically in the areas of client management, public relations and social support.

The communications coordinator will be responsible for supporting the director of marketing with copywriting and proofreading support, as well as providing Mustang’s account executives with client assistance and project workflow support.

The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and an understanding of — or willingness to learn — marketing and public relations techniques, tools and platforms. The ideal candidate is also a self-starter, someone who takes initiative and someone who can take ownership of processes under the guidance of the director of marketing.

As an agency, Mustang supports multiple clients each day with varying levels of marketing support and the ideal candidate is someone who can adapt to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to pivot and support several client requests a day, as needed. This position is ideal for an individual that is newer in their career journey with the work ethic and desire to learn and grow.

This position is considered part of the creative team and will report directly to the director of marketing.
