At its April 24 meeting, the Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) board of directors voted to lift Stage 1 Water Shortage conditions, which have been in place since August 2021. TWSD’s nearly 14,000 Oak Park residential and business potable water users are no longer required to limit their outdoor water use to one day per week.

“Our customers did a great job reducing their water consumption,” says Jane Nye, TWSD board chair. “Along with their efforts and the unusually wet winter, we now can confidently move out of the Stage 1 level.”

Permanent community-wide water conservation measures will remain in place. For a list of these measures, go to https://www.triunfowsd.com/conservation-and-education/#usage. “We encourage customers to continue to be water-wise and stewards of our water supply,” says Nye. “California’s weather patterns can be cyclical and more than likely we will see drought conditions again. If this should happen, we know the community and the TWSD are prepared and ready to work together.”

Customers are encouraged to continue monitoring their water usage through the TWSD online Customer Portal on the TWSD website under Customer Service (https://www.triunfowsd.com).
