At a March 18 meeting, the Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) board of directors selected Carl Jarecky to fill a board vacancy created when Director Janna Orkney resigned on January 29. Jarecky will serve for the remainder of the current term and will run for election at the end of this year.
Jarecky was one of five residents who applied for the board position. All five were interviewed during the March 18 meeting and once selected, Jarecky was sworn in.
Jarecky is a Media Operations Supervisor for the City of Thousand Oaks with two decades of management experience in municipal government public information. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Miami University of Ohio, Master of Arts in Communications from Pepperdine University and Master of Business Administration/Finance from California Lutheran University. He is also a board member and president of the Hillcrest Homeowners Association.
“Director Jarecky brings excellent communication and business skills to the board,” says James Wall, TWSD board chair. “We look forward to his insight and input.”
TWSD Board meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at the district office in Westlake Village. For more information about TWSD, go to
