Community Bands Together for
State of the City Address Thousand Oaks

Thousand Oaks, CA The City of Thousand Oaks will host their annual State of the City Address on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at California Lutheran University. Mayor Andy Fox will provide the keynote address, as the business and community at large come together to reflect on the past year with a focus on supporting the community through the recent tragedies. The event will include a served lunch and presentation by the Ventura County Sheriff Department and Ventura County Fire Department Honor Guard.

Mayor Andy Fox has served on the Thousand Oaks City Council for the past 24 years and is currently serving his sixth term as Mayor. This will be Fox’s final State of the City Address as he is retiring; he is currently in his final term on the City Council.  The Mayor’s 24 years of public service make him the second longest-serving Councilmember in the City’s history. Fox recently retired from his position as Assistant Chief for the Los Angeles Fire Department in July after a 38-year career in fire service.

“This is a time for our community to gather as much as possible.  There’s healing and hope in that and all are welcome,” said Chamber President/CEO Jill Lederer.
Tickets for this event are $50 per person and available online at www.conejochamber.org through Friday, December 7, 2018. All tickets must be pre-purchased, as tickets will not be for sale at the door. For more information contact 805.370.0035.
