Hospice of the Conejo was created in 1977. It was the product of a grass roots effort by local residents who believe that people at the end of life and their families should be able to die in comfort with dignity and respect, and saw that need unfulfilled in the community.
Hospice of the Conejo is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Volunteer Hospice Network. As an integral part of the community, we also hold membership in the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. We work closely with local medical hospices and serve as designated volunteers for Livingston Memorial Home Health and Hospice, and Assisted Home Hospice.
Our service area includes Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Agoura, Oak Park, and Calabasas, California.
Hospice of the Conejo has never charged for services, many of which are provided by professional, licensed therapists.
We rely 100% on community donations, fund-raising events, grants, and bequests. We also depend on more than 200 volunteers who generously give of their time and talent.
