Job Description

First 5 Ventura County is seeking a Director of Operations and Procurement with significant experience in purchasing and contracts to join our highly collaborative team.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be able to hit the ground running to oversee facility management and leases, risk management, IT and telecommunications, contracting for designated vendors, and procurement and purchasing for all of F5VC’s locations and staff. 

Position Description
The Director of Operations and Procurement, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for providing oversight and management of organizational operations and procurement. This experienced, highly skilled professional will oversee facility management and leases, risk management, IT and telecommunications, contracting for designated vendors, and procurement and purchasing for all of F5VC’s locations and staff. This position requires strategic thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, resilience under pressure, and adaptability to maintain efficiency, and stewardship of public funds. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Operations Manager and Operations & Purchasing Administrator.

*Starting salary is expected to be $103,000 - $130,000 annually; however, it is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Full salary range for this position (as a max for highly experienced, long-term employees) could go up to $165,000.
