Name: Legislative Roundtable
Date: October 25, 2022
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM PDT
Event Description:

Legislative Roundtable provides a setting for dialogue to take place on public policy issues and gives public agency staff, elected officials, their staff and businesses an opportunity to network. The meeting includes a guest speaker on a public sector topic and regular updates from our local cities, agencies, and elected officials.

Staff members provide brief reports from their prospective agencies to inform each other and members of the chamber of upcoming events or other items of interest.

This Month's Speaker:

Jennings headshotNiki Richardson
TOArts
Topic: Arts in Education

Niki Richardson was born and raised in India and had traveled the world with her parents by the time she turned 16.  She is the Associate Director for TOArts, the nonprofit fundraising and presenting of the Bank of America Performing Arts Center. TOArts is the largest presenter of shows at the two theatres. Niki earned her MBA from Pepperdine University in 2001 and has been a fundraiser ever since. She has helped raise revenue, resources, and awareness for nonprofits up and down the 101 corridor from Los Angeles to Santa Maria.

Niki lives in Camarillo with her husband and two kids. They love hiking and kayaking. They are a Marvel fan family and love watching food network shows and American Ninja Warrior. She is a passionate advocate for putting the oxygen mask on oneself first. She has been practicing yoga since age 12, and recently got certified as a yoga teacher. She is proud to have passed on her love for afternoon naps to her 11-year-old son who incidentally happens to be TOArts’ youngest monthly donor.
