Event Description:
The Education Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting quality educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources, Community Programs, and updates from our local partners.
The Education Committee coordinates interaction between businesses, local school districts, private schools and universities.
This committee also leads our Teacher of the Month Program where we honor educational excellence by rewarding teachers with a plaque in their name and gifts from Chamber Members. This is an opportunity for Chamber Members (you) to acknowledge our educators while also giving a brief description of your organization!

Marisa Ronstadt-Mendoza
Grand Canyon University
Marisa Ronstadt-Mendoza is the local Enrollment Counselor in the area for Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ), online degree program division for almost 7 years. Marisa has assisted adult learners across Ventura County achieve their educational goals, specifically teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, and students looking to transition from the community college level to the university level.
Marisa also works closely with multiple school districts, hospitals, and businesses to serve as an educational resource to staff and employees.
