This Month's Speaker: Jennifer Patterson, Library Services Director - Thousand Oaks Library

Jennifer Patterson is the Library Services Director for the City of Thousand Oaks Library. Jennifer?s passion for learning and reading led her to a career in libraries. She is a leader with a vision who holds a strong belief in the power of libraries to be transformative for individuals and communities.

She holds a Master?s of Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, a Master?s of Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor?s in History from Winston-Salem State University, where she graduated summa cum laude.

About the Education Committee

The Education Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting quality educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources, Community Programs, and updates from our local partners.

The Education Committee coordinates interaction between businesses, local school districts, private schools and universities.

This committee also leads our Teacher of the Month Program where we honor educational excellence by rewarding teachers with a plaque in their name and gifts from Chamber Members. This is an opportunity for Chamber Members (you) to acknowledge our educators while also giving a brief description of your organization!
